Inside the Helderberg lounge
Chesterfields, a library wall and slow conversation — a tour of the room where the collective gathers.

Photographs of the lounge tend to get the same reaction: “that’s a cannabis club?” Which is rather the point. The room was built to feel like a private library that happens to serve exceptional flower — not a dispensary with couches.
The room
Leather that has earned its creases, and a ladder that actually gets used.
Tan chesterfields anchor the floor, worn to exactly the right softness. One wall is books — real ones, borrowable ones — with the brass ladder to prove it. Warm practical lighting does the rest: cabinet glow, low lamps, nothing overhead and harsh. The soundtrack sits at conversation level, vinyl on the good nights.
How members use it
Some come for the tasting flights. Most come for the pause.
Afternoons are quiet — laptops closed by unspoken agreement, a slow session over a book or a board game from the sideboard. Evenings pick up: tasting flights of the week’s drops, listening-room sessions, the occasional members’ event that fills the room.
Reservations happen through your account — a table, a time, done. Premium tiers get priority on the busy nights, and a guest allowance for introducing someone to the collective properly.
The etiquette, briefly
The house rules fit on a coaster: 18+ and members only, respect the volume of the room, and what happens in the lounge is nobody’s content. Staff will happily match you to something on the menu — the same profiles from the shop apply at the counter. Slow evenings are the house speciality; we wrote a whole piece on those.
