Temperature settings explained
Lower preserves flavour; higher extracts more per puff.
Lower temperatures (180–195 °C) preserve flavour and terpenes — gentler on the throat, with the strain’s taste profile coming through. Higher temperatures (210–220 °C) extract more per puff at the cost of harsher vapour. Most experienced users land in the 195–205 °C band.
New to vaping? Start at the lowest preset, take 2–3 puffs and wait 10 minutes before increasing — vape onset is much faster than edibles, so it is easy to overshoot.

Grinders — 3-part vs 4-part, aluminium vs plastic
The small purchase that improves every session.
A 3-part grinder (lid + grinding chamber + collection chamber) is the standard for most users — diamond-cut teeth shear the herb cleanly and a magnetic lid keeps it sealed in a pocket. A 4-part adds a fine-mesh kief screen: trichome dust collects at the bottom over time, ready to sprinkle onto a bowl or into a joint.
Anodised aluminium lasts years and keeps its edge — the daily-driver choice. Plastic is lighter and cheaper, fine as a travel spare, but the teeth wear within months of daily use. Skip zinc alloy: heavy, blunt and poorly machined.

King-size papers and pre-rolled cones are the fastest route to a clean joint. Flavoured wraps burn slower for a longer session. A rolling tray keeps the ritual tidy and catches what would otherwise end up in the couch.
Keep your kit clean
Resin is what slows a grinder and sours a vaporizer.
Once a month for daily use: disassemble, soak the metal parts in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol for 20 minutes, scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse hot and dry fully. Clean a vape’s oven and mouthpiece every 5–10 sessions with the included pipe cleaners — and keep liquids away from the battery contacts.

What’s the difference between a dry-herb and a 510-cartridge vaporizer?
Dry-herb units have a ceramic oven you load with ground flower. 510-thread devices screw onto pre-filled cartridges of extract. Different inputs, different price points, different cleaning routines.
What temperature should I vape at?
Lower temps (180–195 °C) preserve flavour and terpenes; higher temps (210–220 °C) deliver more extraction per puff. Start in the middle and adjust to taste.
3-part or 4-part grinder?

How do I clean my grinder?
