Exquisite Coffee
This cup does not perform. It sits. It darkens the air a little. It waits. The first sip is bitter in the way good dark things are bitter — not harsh, just true. Cocoa husk. A little wood. The ghost of something roasted too carefully to be sweet. As it flows down the chest, the mind for three seconds, it feels can stop inventing work. To me that is the point of a dark coffee at this hour. Not energy as theatre. Not a reward you have not earned yet. A quiet line between sleep and sovereignty. Enjoy! PS: The space and people are even better.
