Bree Street

Our city-centre club at the top of Bree Street, where Buitensingel meets the city’s best-known strip of bars and kitchens. Open late, seven days a week — the branch most members drop into after work.
The room
The neighbourhood
Bree Street is the flagship of the collective and the closest thing Cape Town’s city centre has to a proper cannabis club: a counter for members’ collections, a listening-room lounge with chesterfields and a library wall, and a calendar of tastings and members’ evenings that start here before anywhere else. It sits at the top of Bree where Buitensingel crosses — two minutes on foot from Kloof Street and Long Street, at the quiet end of the city’s best food-and-bar strip.
Getting here is easy from anywhere in the City Bowl: MyCiTi stops on Buitengracht are a short walk, and evening street parking along Buitensingel and upper Bree is usually workable after office hours. Members from Gardens, Tamboerskloof, De Waterkant and the Atlantic Seaboard treat it as their after-work room — collections run right up to 22:00, seven days a week, and the lounge takes table reservations through the site.

Good to know
Bree Street, answered.
- Is there a cannabis lounge at Bree Street?
- Yes — Bree Street is the only branch with the collective’s members’ lounge. Reserve a table through the site, run a tab, and settle when you leave. Tastings and members’ evenings are hosted here first.
- How late is the Bree Street club open?
- Bree Street keeps the longest hours in the collective: 10:00 to 22:00, seven days a week. Collections run until closing; the fastest way to confirm a late pickup is the branch WhatsApp.
- Where can I park near the Bree Street branch?
- Evening street parking on Buitensingel and upper Bree Street is usually workable after office hours, and there are paid parking garages within a couple of blocks off Kloof and Buitengracht. The MyCiTi stops on Buitengracht are a short walk away.
- Do I need to be a member to visit?
- Yes. Seknd Nature is a private members’ collective under the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act, 2024 — we do not sell cannabis to the public. You apply online in a few minutes, management reviews every application personally, and once approved you collect at any branch. Membership is 18+ with ID verification.
- Is this legal in South Africa?
- The collective operates on a private, non-commercial membership basis under the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act, 2024. Cannabis is cultivated, held and shared among verified adult members for private use — nothing on our site or in our branches constitutes an offer to sell cannabis to the public.
