The Creative Process

Our members spoke, and we listened. We heard your desire for more fruity and spicy strains, and for strains that enhance your life experience. We turned to our grower members, who upgraded your favourite strains to fulfil your desires.

Our branch managers and bud tenders worked together to name these genetically-curated strains. They chose to celebrate the natural beauty of South Africa, and the heritage that has brought our country to a point in which cannabis lovers can celebrate their right to enjoy Seknd Nature’s premium cannabis.

We’ve created strains that can be enjoyed in pre-rolls, dry herb vaporisers, and bongs, to ensure that our members get ultimate enjoyment out of our bespoke buds.

Oranjezest

The slopes of Table Mountain boasts one of Cape Town’s most affluent and beautiful suburbs, Oranjezicht. It is also one of the city’s oldest historical sites. Three centuries ago, it was a farm that overlooked South Africa’s first city, producing fruit and vegetables for the first citizens of a country that now permits its people to enjoy Seknd Nature’s premium cannabis creations.

When naming this 50% Indica, 50% Sativa strain, our staff members chose to honour its opulent effects and zesty citrus flavours, while relating these properties to the luxurious beauty and history offered by the Oranjezicht area.

This potent hybrid is a cross between two of our members’ favourite strains, Twisted Tangerine and Motor Dawg genetics. It delivers uplifted, focused and creative effects that are ideal for daytime use, especially when enjoying one of our lounges as your remote office. It’s also mood-enhancing and energizing, so it’s great for stress, depression, and anxiety management.

The taste profile features a powerfully zesty citrus overtone, with a smooth, sweet, and earthy undertone. The earthy citrus flavour in combination with sweet and floral flavours create a vibrantly scented bouquet of cannabis smoke.

The next time you’re in the Oranjezicht area, we welcome you to withdraw some Oranjezest from our Bree Street branch, and enjoy it either in our comfortable lounge, or while exploring the beautiful slopes and suburbs of Table Mountain.

Kirstenbosch Spice

One of South Africa’s most beloved botanical gardens lies nestled in the gentle valley of Kirstenbosch. Here, horticulturalists passionately nurture rare and endangered plant species, and display them in the public gardens for the enjoyment of locals and tourists alike.

This 70% Sativa, 30% Indica strain inspired our staff members to come up with the name Kirstenbosch Spice because Seknd Nature’s passion for cannabis plants is in alignment with Kirstenbosch’s tender love and care for all things botanical.

Kirstenbosch Spice is a sativa dominant hybrid (30% Indica / 70% Sativa) providing an uplifting boost in mood and mental stimulation, sparking creativity while relaxing the body but not strong enough to sedate. Excellent strain to help you achieve a flowstate in any activity. May stimulate your appetite rather ravenously, prepare for munchies. The flowers are a colourful mix of purples and pinks with bright orange pistils and average trichome coverage. Flavours/aromas are very floral and fruity with a hint of sweet dessert. Strong taste of blackberries, jam, lavender and a touch of rosemary.

Fynbos Flame is slightly indica dominant (60% Indica / 40% Sativa) making this strain a heavy hitting hybrid providing strong relaxation focused in the body with a creative mental calm. Can be arousing and appetite stimulating. Flowers are a light purple colour with hints of green, abundant in bright orange pistils with above average trichome coverage and slight expression of foxtailing. Flavours/aromas are fruity, floral and sweet. Tastes of blueberry, cherry, grape and lavender with hints of soda/sherbet/candy sweetness.
